AutoCAD for Archtects Course

This course is intended for architects, interior and building
designers and drafters who are using AutoCAD to draw buildings.
The course presents tools and methods for the preparation
of architectural drawings.

Attendees must have completed the AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT
Essentials course, or have equivalent AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT
drafting skills.

Topics in this Intermediate course will include:

• File management for jobs
• Defining prototype drawings
• Layering conventions
• Drawing multi-line walls
• Creating openings in walls
• Placing doors and windows
• Complex Block management
• Creating and using Block libraries
• Architectural dimensions
• Principles of scale
• Plotting with multiple scales

Upon completion, trainees can expect to be able to configure
their AutoCAD to establish a productive, architecture-based AutoCAD
working environment, create and use a symbol library and be confident
in the preparation of two-dimensional architectural drawings.
