3D Studio Viz Course

As the name suggests, Autodesk’s 3D Studio VIZ is a comprehensive
software environment for visualising professional three-dimensional models.

While 3D Studio VIZ may be used to develop (or import) accurate models, the
opportunity to use it as an easy-to-use, intuitive design tool for quick
production of prototypes and architectural visualisation is invaluable.

This course introduces the features of 3D Studio VIZ and is intended for
architects, engineers, product and industrial designers, graphic artists and
commercial artists in the advertising field.

• Overview of 3D space
• Model creation and editing
• Model accuracy
• Linking models to AutoCAD drawings
• Tree, Foliage and Terrain generators
• Stairs and Railings
• Doors and Windows
• Defining and using Materials
• Lighting
• Viewing
• Camera matching
• Rendering
• Animation

Previous computer experience is essential. While reference will be made to
models produced in AutoCAD, skill in AutoCAD is not a prerequisite.

On completion of the course, attendees can expect to have a good grasp
of the capabilities of 3D Studio VIZ and be able to generate complex three
dimensional models, high-quality rendered images and animations.
